In recent times now since the lock down in some states in Nigeria as a result of the pandemic, Lagos and Ogun state have been in a state of unrest.
They call themselves the 1million gang and these are young men and women between the ages of 18 and 25. They have been terrorizing some areas in the states mentioned above, robbing residents of the little they have to take care of themselves during this lockdown. They dont just stop at that, they also go as far as raping women.
People living in these areas have resorted to protecting themselves by forming a neighbourhood watch in the absence of police protection.
Oworonshoki area of Lagos state was visited by these robbers and the residents armed with different weapons gave them a chase of their in which some were caught.
We implore the Police to do the needful by protecting lives and properties, if this continues then we may find it hard containing the corona virus. Below are some pictures showing the locals protecting their neighbourhood.
